Blog - Words better unspoken...

Greetings,
Netherbird has over the past few years grown from a very obscure effort into a band with a big following and friends in all parts of the world. We had the vision from the very first day to establish something relevant where music and art meet in a blend of darkness and beauty. In the early days we worked with session members and friends but the goal was to establish a band ready to deliver devastating releases and fantastic live shows. Today we have a number of releases and a line up ready to take on the big challenges ahead of us.
 
So this is the point where we feel we need to establish a network of strong partners who share our vision of what dark music is about and who are ready to team up with us to shape the scene of tomorrow, people who see that our close connection with our listeners is the main aspect of what we do and whom are just as hard working as we are ourselves, so this is where some old affiliations will have to go and be replaced by new ones.
 
We are ready to present our ideas and our concept for what Netherbird is and what we will make this band into during the coming decade. Enough talk, what the hell are we looking for?
 
Management
We look for a management agency for regional or international collaboration.
 
Booking agency
We are ready to do gigs both at festivals and in places where we have a big following. So we are open to either regional/national companies as well as an international partner.
 
Record label with focus on vinyl
We think that vinyl is a hell of a wonderful format and we have a number of possible releases ready if we find the right company to work with. So a specialized vinyl record label is very welcome!
 
Record label
We are discussing with a number of labels but these days a lot of the major players are hard pressed and we honestly don’t see the passion labels used to have so we might actually release future releases on our own label but with the right partner we might reconsider that and we are always open to licensing deals so if you are representing label with the future in sight, do get in touch!
 
So if you work with/for a company, or know a people who do, and whom might be interested in Netherbird do get in touch.

Greetings,
we are proud to announce that Tobias Gustafsson has joined Netherbird as bassist. We have spent 48 hours in studio Scarecrow recording bass for our next release and it was a grand ride and Tobias was quite evidently the right man for the job, both because of his skills as a musician and as a person. He blended right into this flock of stray souls and will add a lot to the future sound of the band with both his bass and voice.














Tobias Gustafsson is no stranger to the metal scene and he is currently the vocalist in Revengia and has played in Eucharist, The End (Swe) and Armageddon (Swe).

More info will come and you will hear his craft on the next release! So now give the man a warm welcome to the dark flock! You can now find his profile among our top friends.

This also means that Netherbird now has a full line up ready to handle the gigs that will come in years ahead!

It is great to see that the number of users is growing by the day, and this site is indeed promising since it is something a bit new compared to the other ones out there, some sort of new "perspective" on how to make users and artists all becoming involved in the business of this place. Time will tell if enough people with heed the call but we will do what we can to draw more users here!

But: all these people and so few views on the photos, songs and videos? Come on now and give us your honest opinion on ours (and others) art! We know we are the odd band here so we can actually survive even if you dont enjoy our music, but your opinion is none the less interesting! So dont hesitate to listen and comment!

See you all, this weekend we are recording some of the last bits and pieces for our next MCD that will be out later this autumn. A soundtrack to the darker days ahead!
